Skystar paused as the cats cheered the names, then drew a deep breath and continued. "We are also in need of a medicine cat and apprentice. Please report any cats that you see in the territory to me so that we can discover if they are friend or foe. That is all."

He nodded his thanks to Skystar. "Thank you." Then he walked over to Notchpaw. "Hello."

She smiled and looked at her sister. "This is going to be fun! I wonder if we are going to train with Notchpaw."

Skystar nodded back to Tigerstorm. As she met his gaze, something inside her felt warm. She glanced down, wondering if the sun was lighting up her chest and making that patch hotter, but there was nothing. She shook it off, and leaped off the Center Stone.

Notchpaw touched noses with Tigerstorm. "Hi," he said. "What are we going to do first? Battle training?" He took what he assumed was a battle stance. "See, aren't I good already?"

He took his gaze off of Lightstar an shook his head. He stared down at his apprentice. "Yea, she's perfect." He said a bit dazed.

Dovefeather sat alone feeling a bit left out.

Skystar laughed at Mintypaw's eagerness. "Well, I could show you some technique at the training hollow if you want," she offered.
She ran over to Dovefeather. "Your my mentor right?"

"Uh, yea, I mean your position is great but lower your backside a bit. Do you want to practise at the training hollow?" He asked.
